The woman, whose name has not been revealed, killed the two-year-old victim after a heated row with her husband over the children. She then decided to “take revenge” for being forced to care for the kids by killing her husband's toddler son, according to court files. Despite trying unsuccessfully to appeal the sentence the woman was locked up for 20 years for the horrifying crime. The woman was jailed in November 2019 by a lower court but her legal team challenged the ruling. Jordan’s Supreme Court has now upheld a 20-year sentence, ruling that the defendant was handed the appropriate sentence for killing the boy.
