Court postpones re-mention of Sandakan terror trio case to Nov


SANDAKAN: The sessions court here today fixed Nov 22 to re-mention the case of three men accused of planning to fight alongside terrorists in the southern Philippines in June. Nor Azmi and Faisal allegedly committed the offence on June 15 at 12.20pm in front of a boutique here. On the same date, Ali had attempted to fly to the Philippines from Sandakan airport at about 6.15pm. He was also charged under Section 130J B (1)(a) of the Penal Code for having Islamic State (IS)-related material in his phone. Faisal and Ali were represented by counsel Rowiena Rashid, while Nor Azmi was unrepresented.
