The anti-corruption agency wants Amuti ordered to pay the government an amount equivalent to the value of the unexplained assets. The EACC lawyer, Kossy Bor, said Rawal erred in ruling that the defendant was not given a fair trial. Bor said with the Act an accused has to prove that he acquired the unexplained assets. The judges who overthrew the decision ordered that the suit be returned to the High Court for fresh trial on a priority basis.
