Cry it from the rooftops: The peregrine falcon is Hamilton’s official bird. For years, the raptors have nested on an 18th-floor ledge of the downtown Sheraton Hotel. Naming a “city bird” earns Hamilton points as a “Bird Friendly City,” noted a motion before city council Friday. Bird Friendly Hamilton Burlington’s survey to gather feedback on which bird should carry that civic banner selected the lofty Sheraton residents. Cameron Kroetsch confessed upon presenting his motion to declare Hamilton’s official bird.
