A regularly updated world map showing the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus has been developed by Johns Hopkins University. "The dashboard is intended to provide the public with an understanding of the outbreak situation as it unfolds, with transparent data sources," the university said. The dashboard was updated on a daily timescale, showing statistics about deaths and confirmed cases, and the complete set of data could be downloaded. "For the research community, this data will become more valuable as we continue to collect it over time," she said. The WHO is reconvening its committee on the coronavirus early Friday (NZ time) to discuss whether the outbreak constitutes a "public health emergency of international concern".
