My dog bounded behind Morgan, and (in my head), I cartwheeled down the driveway at his arrival. I am a solo mum and have continued working through lockdown as a reporter for Stuff based in Central Otago. I would roll out of bed and bundle the kids and dog into the car, and drop her off.
