A construction worker was killed and five others were severely wounded after the roof of the under-construction auditorium of Mymensingh Zilla Parishad (district council) collapsed on Friday. The incident took place in the district’s Gaffargaon upazila, Gaffargaon police station OC Abdul Ahad confirmed to the Dhaka Tribune. The zilla parishad is constructing the auditorium with its own funds, sources said. On Friday morning, the roof of the under-construction building collapsed, crushing the six construction workers. The injured worker were rushed to Gaffargaon Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors pronounced Jahan dead.
