Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Thursday detained two students of Daffodil International University (DIU) over their involvement in leaking the questions for Chemistry in this year’s SSC examinations. The detained were identified as Ridwan Ahmed, 24, and Belal Hossain, 23, confirmed RAB 2 Assistant Director (Media) Firoz Kawser. The two study textile engineering at DIU’s Dhanmondi campus, and were detained from in front of the gate of Oriental College in Dhaka, he said. According to the RAB 2 assistant director, the detainees were part of a messaging group titled “Chemistry- 2018.” Through this group, they would sell leaked question papers to students and receive payment via bKash. The RAB official added that an investigation to locate others involved in the question leak was ongoing.
