LOS ANGELES — They are hockey immortals whose legacies will last long after they’ve left this earth. They each have statues that proudly stand in front of the NHL arenas in the cities in which they starred. The consensus of all three: Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe. I think we’re all in pretty much agreement that Gordie was pretty special. Having recently turned 20, McDavid was appreciative of this day, one that the sport of hockey had never seen before.
