Condo unit improvements are not covered by insurance obtained by corporation

My dad’s condo unit was damaged by a flood originating in the unit above. Isn’t the corporation responsible for making sure that the new flooring matches the rest of the floor? The Condominium Act states the insurance that the corporation is required to obtain does not include insurance for damage to any improvements to a unit. If the damaged flooring in the unit was the original dark flooring, then the insurer should have replaced it with dark flooring. In that event, the insurer would replace the damaged flooring with flooring equivalent to the original, cheaper light flooring.
