Highway 1 reopened from Brandon to Saskatchewan - News Summed Up

Highway 1 reopened from Brandon to Saskatchewan

A portion of a western Manitoba highway is open again after being closed early Saturday due to icy conditions. Just before 9:30 a.m., Manitoba Infrastructure sent out a news release stating Highway 1 between Brandon and the Saskatchewan border had been re-opened. Earlier Saturday morning, that stretch of the highway had been closed because of winter weather. A spokesperson for Manitoba Highways said the closure was due to icy conditions. For more information on Manitoba highway conditions, call 511 or visit the province's road and traveller information website.
