Walt DisneyWalt Disney and Pixar's Coco topped the Thanksgiving box office, with a solid $8.9 million gross. With rave reviews and white-hot buzz, there isn't any reason to expect frontloading over the rest of the weekend. The Warner Bros./Time Warner Inc. superhero movie earned another $8.465 million over Thanksgiving day, a drop of 19% from Wednesday. The indifferently-reviewed Denzel Washington legal drama, which I mostly enjoyed, earned $930,000 on Thursday for what should be a $6.1m Wed-Sun holiday weekend. Oh, and Sony's The Star earned $1m on Thursday for a likely $9.8m Wed-Sun weekend and $22.3m ten-day total.
