Kano State has so far recorded a total of 11,475 suspected cholera cases from March to date with no fewer than 329 deaths. The state Disease Surveillance and Notification Officer, Sulaiman Iliyasu, disclosed this on Wednesday during a media sensitisation on COVID-19 pandemic and cholera outbreak. He said the cases were reported across the 44 local government areas of the state. The officer disclosed that Sumaila LGA had the highest number with over 2,000 cases. On the Covid-19 pandemic, the state Director, Public Health and Disease Control, Dr Ashir Rajab, said that over 98,000 samples had been taken for laboratory tests.
