Our Special CorrespondentPanchkula: The CBI on Friday filed a chargesheet against former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in the Manesar land deal case before a special court of the agency in Panchkula. According to CBI sources, the chargesheet also names several bureaucrats, officials in the town and country planning department and real estate companies. The Hooda government had issued a notification under the Land Acquisition Act for acquiring 912 acres to set up a model industrial township. Hooda, who was the chief minister from 2005 to 2015, was interrogated by the agency in May 2017. CBI judge Jagdeep Singh has directed the CBI to submit all documents related to the chargesheet before the court by February 26.
