Now the police has said that the investigating officers failed to get the footage of the CCTV cameras. The CCTV footage from the cameras installed on the traffic lights of Khalsa College at Sector 26, transport lights, Kalakram lights and also Housing Board lights is also not available. "The CCTV cameras were switched off or were not functioning. No CCTV footage is available at the moment .Efforts being made to retrieve the same," a source aware of the development said. The CCTV footage could have been crucial in establishing the crime.
