The fire that engulfed a swath of Westminster Pier Park in New Westminster, B.C., late Sunday could keep burning for weeks, according to the city's fire chief. "We have a three-acre site fully involved under the timber wharf structure — that's the old section of wharf, approximately 100 years old." Dr. Aamir Bharmal, Fraser Health medical health officer, said poor air quality caused by wildfires in the U.S., has been made worse by the wharf fire.
