The Central Otago District Council is trying to prepare for the future and is calling on the community be part of the conversation. "This is not a closed book and not confined to what is just in the document." Council believes a reticulated wastewater system with wastewater piped from Clyde to the Alexandra treatment facility will provide the best value for money. The subsequent two years see rate increases peak at 4.2 per cent and 4.1 per cent which can be attributed to the impact of the Clyde Wastewater scheme.
