Nyeri Catholic Diocese Archbishop Antony Muheria called on Kenyan leaders to sit down and end the simmering political stalemate. According to Muheria, the situation in Kenya, needed leaders and citizens as a whole to step up and acknowledge that there were underlying issues that needed to be addressed, citing poverty and the cost of living as urgent concerns for discussion. In a bare knuckle jab on the current leader of the nation, Muheria described the current leadership insultive and arrogant. I think we are going to a very wrong leadership, that is why the religious leaders are saying come let us talk. Family feuds and problems are not solved by violence, hatred and insults, but we sit, chat and truly listen to one another.
