Marlborough Cancer Society are in shock after a fire in a building next door spread into their premises, causing significant damage. The Marlborough Cancer Society are on the lookout for temporary accommodation after Wednesday's fire from an adjoining CBD Cafe engulfed their entire office. The Cancer Society is a fully self-funded charity organisation which relies heavily on volunteer's support and donations from the community because it gets no support the government. Per year, Marlborough Cancer Society provides services to over 500 cancer patients, with three paid staff and dozens of volunteers who help in support of events like Daffodil Day. While they wait for new accommodation, the Cancer Society has created a givealittle page.
