These funds were used to provide immediate assistance to people affected by Cyclone Mora for two months. The operation focused on the provision of emergency food, shelter toolkits, safe drinking water and water storage items, basic non-food items, sanitation and hygiene assistance. Canada also provided C$150,000 in humanitarian assistance in support of the International Organisation for Migration or IOM, to provide life-saving assistance to those most affected by Cyclone Mora in Bangladesh. This was in response to the Inter-Sector Coordination Group Emergency Response plan and an IFRC appeal for funding. IOM used these funds to provide assistance on shelter and water, sanitation and hygiene.
