Three people have been killed and 30 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Bedgram in Gopalganj. Of the deceased, two were identified as Mohiuddin Mridha, 35, of Pirojpur and his son Rahat, 5. Gopalganj Fire Service Inspector Naimul Huda said: “The three died on the spot when the night coach of Gold Line Poribohon fell into the ditch as its driver lost control over the steering around 4am on Sunday.”He said the injured have been taken to Gopalganj 250-bed General Hospital. Injured passenger Masud Rana, a student of Jagannath University, told the Dhaka Tribune that the accident took place because of reckless driving.
