more-inThe district administration has been directed to look into the cases of 1,618 endosulfan victims who were said to have been excluded from the fresh official list of victims. The list was prepared on the basis of special medical camps held in April last year. Protesting activists claimed only 287 from the draft list of 1,905 people figured on the fresh official list. Meanwhile, Endosulfan Peeditha Janakeeya Munnani (EPJM) secretary Ambalathara Kunhikrishnan said the EPJM would not accept the decision to hold fresh camps to identify victims from the draft list. “We will go ahead with the scheduled indefinite day-and-night agitation in front of the Secretariat from April 3,” he said.
