more-inCommerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu on Thursday pitched for setting up auto clusters at India’s west and east coasts to boost the sector’s growth and exports. “I will talk to the [Andhra Pradesh] Chief Minister [during the upcoming CII partnership summit at Visakhapatnam] [to] ensure that we create an auto cluster with global scale infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh... we can do the same thing at the west coast in Maharashtra. “This will help boost exports,” Mr. Prabhu said. He was speaking at the ‘Auto Expo,’ organised jointly by the CII, Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers. Made in IndiaHe wanted global automobile firms to consider India as part of their international operations and identify products that can be made in India.
