CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Showing strength and support, several hundred members of the Calgary community attended a vigil outside of city hall Sunday afternoon. It was a memorial for the victims of the Ethiopian airlines crash and the families they left behind. “We’re just gathering, when something happens we all are gathering, we don’t leave it alone as much as we can, we just go to support people,” said Sirak. The Kenyan community is helping the family of Calgary man Derick Lwugi, who was one of the victims of the plane crash, pick up the pieces. A gofundme campaign has been created to sustain financial support for his wife and three children.
