Turner and Warner Bros., both owned by Time Warner Inc., announced they’re teaming up to launch a new kid-friendly service devoted to animation, CMO Today reports. That’s in addition to the paid streaming service Time Warner already operates for its HBO brand. Tronc is in talks to purchase US Weekly from Wenner Media, the New York Post and The Street report. US Weekly comes with 20 million unique monthly website visitors and could complement the L.A. Times’ entertainment industry coverage, the Post reports.
