Justice Misra told the Bar Council of India, a regulatory body, and the Supreme Court Bar Association that "congeniality" would prevail, sources said. The seven-member Bar Council team, led by its chairman Manan Kumar Mishra, had earlier met several other Supreme Court judges. He said that some of the dissident judges too had given the same assurance to the delegation. Earlier, Supreme Court Bar Association president Vikas Singh had handed over a resolution to the CJI. "He said he would look into it and ensure there was congeniality in the Supreme Court at the earliest," Singh said after the 15-minute meeting.
