Businessman ordered to enter defence for trafficking almost seven kilos of drugs


KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court today ordered a businessman to enter his defence for allegedly trafficking almost seven kilogrammes of drugs last year. Judge Datuk Azman Abdullah made the decision after the prosecution had proven a prima facie case against Lim Boon Seng, 50. According to the charge sheet, Lim was slapped with three counts of trafficking 5.170kg of Methyleredioxy-Methamphetamine (MDMA-Ecstasy), 1.559 kg of Methamphetamine, and 184.7 gramme of Ketamine. The offence was allegedly committed at a house 344-33A-1, Vista Damai Condominium 340, Wangsa Maju, at 10pm on Jan 18, 2016. Deputy Public Prosecutor Raya Aznika Mohd Anas prosecuted while the accused was represented by Datuk Hari Haran Tara Singh.
