The name of Moosa Bin Shamsher, a prominent business tycoon in Bangladesh, has surfaced in the Paradise Papers, the second largest leak of documents pertaining to tax evasion. The Paradise Papers listed Moosa as both a shareholder and the director of Venus Overseas Holding Company Ltd. The corporate address of the company is listed as 27, Grognet Street, Mosta, Malta. Earlier in November last year, BNP Vice-Chairman Abdul Awal Mintoo and several members of his family, were also named in the leaks. The Paradise Papers listed NFM Energy Ltd, a company which uses Multimode Group’s address in Bangladesh.
