A bus with 40 passengers plunged into a ditch in the Ghatail upazila of Tangail on Tuesday night, killing at least seven and leaving 20 injured. The fate of the other 13 passengers is yet to be ascertained. The bus was travelling the route from Dhaka to Dhanbari Baun on the Mymensingh-Tangail highway when the accident occurred in the Haripur area, confirmed Sergeant Pranab Kumar Sarkar of police. The injured were taken to Ghatail upazila Health Complex and Tangail General Hospital for treatmentPolice and fire service officials were on the scene at the time of filing this report.
