A young nursing student has been hospitalised with three blood clots on her right lung just three weeks after receiving the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine. The trainee nurse then started getting regular headaches and by May 7 Ms Peacock had severe pain near her collarbone while inhaling. It was then the three blood clots were discovered on her right lung, along with a low platelet count. The TGA reported seven cases of a rare blood clotting condition linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine in its weekly Covid vaccine safety briefing on Thursday. The AstraZeneca vaccine is currently only recommended for those aged over 50, who those under that age are advised to get the Pfizer jab.
