Bombers get Rose in time for Valentines


The Winnipeg Blue Bombers received one in the form of Winston Rose, a free-agent defensive back who played for the B.C. “Everything that I was looking for,” Rose said of the Bombers. The move was one of the biggest non-quarterback moves anywhere in the CFL on Day of free agency, and Rose certainly noticed. Rose played corner for the Lions last season, just his second in the CFL, starting 15 games and snaring five interceptions (one against the Bombers), tied for the league lead with four others. The Bombers weren’t quite as prolific with the takeaways in 2018, and Rose has the ability to help.
