The Arizona Cardinals made it official on Tuesday, announcing the signing of former Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Chris Streveler to an NFL contract. “No one deserves it more,” quarterback Matt Nichols, Streveler’s former teammate in Winnipeg, said via his Twitter account. Streveler had drawn interest from a few NFL teams after helping the Bombers win the 107th Grey Cup. NFL teams see the 25-year-old as a possible dual-threat backup like Taysom Hill in New Orleans. In Arizona, Streveler will work under head coach Kliff Kingsbury and quarterbacks coach Tom Clements, both former Blue Bombers quarterbacks.
