The Toronto Blue Jays highlighted Day 3 of the Major League Baseball draft by selecting 17-year-old pitcher Braden Halladay, the son of former Jays legend Roy Halladay. The selection came Wednesday afternoon in the 32nd round of the draft — Roy Halladay wore No. Braden Halladay, a right-hander like his father, is committed to Penn State and will play in the Nittany Lions’ baseball program. It’s with mutual understanding that I’ll still be honoring my commitment to Penn State! Roy Halladay went 148-76 with a 3.43 ERA in his dozen years with Toronto, and 203-105 with a 3.38 ERA overall.
