OAKLAND • And now, time for another instalment in my bi-weekly series, No One Knows What Kawhi Leonard Will Do Next Year. One of the ongoing subplots of this remarkable Toronto Raptors playoff run has been the uncertainty of the future of their inscrutable star, and the attention it has garnered is understandable. I am now holding my thumb and forefinger together and squinting at them to show just how little it means. As for the idea that Leonard is now amenable to staying in Toronto, even on a short-term deal, the only possible response is: maybe? Ask Kawhi Leonard what he is thinking, and he’s likely to tell you that he is thinking he would rather not be sitting there, answering questions.
