Commenting on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s meeting with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at Kot Lakhpat Jail on Monday, Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s grandson “shook hands with Zia-ul-Haq’s foster child”. “Today, Bhutto’s grandson took biggest U-turn of the century… An agreement was reached over Bhutto’s blood,” said the federal minister, adding that the meeting between the two disgruntled parties only bore disappointment. Fawad said that Bilawal wanted to take political advantage in Punjab by showing himself “a devotee of the political shrine of Nawaz Sharif”. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had already stated that Nawaz Sharif could get medical treatment from wherever he desired. I hope the prime minister and his government think on humanitarian grounds,” he said to media personnel after the meeting.
