NEW DELHI: Indian police set 200 homes of Muslims ablaze in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut city on 6th March in a fresh act of brutality against the minority. In a video gone viral on social media, a Muslim man accuses police for torching the homes. The government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to protect lives and properties of Muslims in India. “India’s narrow political agendas are marginalising Muslims and other minorities in an already unequal society,” she had said in her annual report to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. “I fear that these divisive policies will not only harm many individuals, but also undermine the success of India’s economic growth story.”
