A Telegraph picture Calcutta, Aug. 23: President Pranab Mukherjee today said the domestic banking system continued to have "fault lines" even after efforts to improve financial inclusion. "The banking system was a major victim of the financial crisis of 2008. But there was some sense of satisfaction that the Indian banking system was being praised. "We started with 501 branches, 50 ATMs and 6.7 million customers. The bank has managed to collect deposits worth Rs 16,000 crore, of which retail deposits constitute more than Rs 6,000 crore.
