Police say the man had been stabbed to death before set alight. According to the passport (No- BC0214534) found on the body, the man has been identified as Syaiyad Ali, 41. The law enforcers came to know about body after two locals informed them of a fire on the Lorong Pantai Kelanang beach Sunday night. The district police chief said the murder could have taken place elsewhere and the body was burnt on the beach afterwards in an effort to destroy evidence. The police have filed a homicide case in this regard.
