Regarding your editorial “Donald Trump’s ‘Lynching’” (Oct. 23): President Trump used the same word that Sens. Joe Biden and John Kerry used in response to the President Bill Clinton impeachment. With his reckless reference to the Democrats’ ugly partisan impeachment inquiry as a “lynching,” President Trump has taken the art of shooting himself in the foot to new heights. Perhaps with that in mind, people might not be so reflexively offended by the president’s use of the word.
