He was charged with a count of unlawful assembly and public nuissance, and also using a facial covering at an unlawful assembly for wearing a black face mask. The case was adjourned until August 26 and the defendant was released on a cash bail of HK$1,000. He was also ordered to surrender his travel document and not leave Hong Kong.
