MANILA, Philippines — A man was arrested by the police after stabbing to death his 88-year-old father following a heated altercation inside their house in Quezon City on Friday morning. The suspect, however, refused to yield, which led QCPD’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team to negotiate with the suspect. After a few minutes, the suspect surrendered and was rushed to a nearby hospital to treat wounds in his left shoulder. Initial investigation showed that the father and son had a heated argument on land titles prior to the killing. Police said the family had asked to conceal the names of the victim and the suspect.
