Child rape has increased by 20% in Bangladesh compared to 2018 as 234 children were raped in the first four months of 2018, according to the press release issued by BSAF. On an average, 70 children were raped each month in Bangladesh, higher than ever recorded. Additionally, a staggering number of 115 children were raped on April alone, said the press release. Most of all, the society is suffering from moral decay which has made such incidents of violence rampant, BSAF stated.
