The meeting, which took place at Shafi's Darul Ulum Moinul Islam Madrasa at Hathazari on Friday, coincides with the fourth anniversary of Hifazat’s mayhem in Dhaka's Motijheel. Mir Nasir, a former minister of the BNP-led coalition government, met Shafi around 12:45pm before the Juma prayers. The Hifazat chief's Press Secretary Munir Ahmed told bdnews24.com that the BNP leader enquired about the health of Shafi and exchanged greetings during the six-minute meeting. He was accompanied by Hathazari BNP chief Noor Mohammad, Member Secretary Slaiman? Mir Nasir did not respond to bdnews24.com calls for his comments on the meeting.
