Three policemen were injured in the attacks that lasted from Thursday night to Friday afternoon at Horarbagh in Boalkhali, Chittagong Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner SM Mobashwer Hossain said. The injured policemen are sub-inspectors Mohammad Aiyub Uddin, HM Ershad Ullah, and Md Mofiz Uddin. The accused, Md Saifuddin Bappi, 46, is a younger brother of Sarwatali union council chairman and president of the ruling party's local unit Belal Uddin. The seized arms and tools included a foreign revolver, a shutter gun, an airgun, axes, knifes, a welding machine, and magazine springs. Police were searching for Bappi and Rumi now, Mobashwer said.
