File photoDHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate MdMonowar Hossain has clinched an unofficial victory in the Magura-1constituency of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election. He got 1, 85,338 votes while his nearest rival Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islamicandidate Abdul Matin received 89,691 votes. In the Referendum, 1,54,613 voters cast votes for 'Yes' while 1,14,695 otherscast 'No' votes. Akhtar Ahmed, senior secretary of the Election Commission, announced theresult today at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at NirbachanBhaban in the capital's Agargaon.
