The BJP will contest in rest (of the) 51 seats.”He also released a list of nine seats that IPFT will contest. When asked about IPFT’s contentious demand of carving out a state of Tipraland out of Tripura’s tribal areas, he said the BJP would address only socio-economic, cultural and linguistic issues of tribals in the State. “BJP and IPFT would issue a joint statement on January 28 which will explain for itself. We forcefully stand for a united Tripura,” he asserted.
