Telangana government wrote to the Centre seeking three-month extension for Mr. Singh who is also monitoring the State’s prestigious Mission Bhagiratha Mission for supplying drinking water to all households in the State. The government actually wanted six month extension for Mr. Singh. but norms will allow to seek three-month extension first. First Chief Secretary of Telangana Rajiv Sharma, was overall granted six month extension. Then Mr. S.P.Singh who was the senior-most for the post was appointed as the Chief Secretary.
