Piyush SrivastavaYogi AdityanathLucknow: BJP ally Om Prakash Rajbhar on Sunday said a chief minister should be chosen by people so that he respects other elected leaders, renewing his attack on Yogi Adityanath three weeks after he had accused his cabinet boss of forgetting the poor. Rajbhar, minister for backward class welfare in the Uttar Pradesh government, even said it was "high time" he pulled out of the alliance. "Only an elected person should be handed the post of CM so that he has regard for other elected members," the chief of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, an ally of the BJP, told a government event. Rajbhar also alleged that the chief minister went by feedback from "corrupt officers" who, he said, "have been sending fake reports". Rajbhar had met Shah in Delhi after a week and told reporters then that the BJP president had assured him he would be given his due respect in the government.
