Listed miner Atlas Consolidate Mining and Development Corp. on Thursday reported that its copper unit successfully completed three shipments of copper concentrates to China. The shipped concentrates averaged 26.95 percent copper, 3.07 grams per ton gold, and 21.18 grams per ton silver, the company said. CCC, the wholly-owned copper unit of Atlas, announced earlier that it plans to more than double its copper ore extraction from the Toledo copper mine in Cebu. CCC owns exclusive rights over mineral reserves in the 1,674-hectare Toledo copper mine complex, which is estimated to contain an estimated 1.5 billion tons of ore or about 5 million tons of copper. CCC has projected an increase in its production capacity from 40,000 tons to 60,000 tons of copper ore per day.
