Nearly 20,000 Hongkongers returned to Hong Kong with their mandatory 14-day quarantine exempted through the “Return2hk Scheme”, Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said this morning. During her visit to Shenzhen Bay and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge border control points, she said she was glad to learn that the operation under the scheme has been running smoothly since its launch a month ago. She also took the Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Tunnel opened today on her way from the Shenzhen Bay control point to the border control point on the megabridge. On the other hand, Lam also paid a visit to the Government Flying Service, and took a helicopter ride to inspect the third runway of the Hong Kong International Airport, reclamation in Tung Chung, the northern rail link among other development projects, accompanied by Secretary for Development Michael Wong Wai-lun.
